    1env Solutions has added two new courses to its already extensive range of training courses: the RSPH Level 3 in Pest Management and a two-day Practical Urban Bird Control Course.

    The company said the RSPH Level 3 in Pest Management is ideal for pest control technicians who wish to progress within the industry.

    “It will enable successful candidates to demonstrate their advanced knowledge and expertise of pest management,” 1env Solutions said in a statement.

    During the course, candidates gain an in-depth knowledge of the management of vertebrate and invertebrate pests, and the ability to identify a range of invertebrate pests and distinguish these from a range of invertebrate animals that are commonly found in association with them.

    “They also gain understanding of a range of factors that affect the delivery of pest management services such as legislation, health and safety and environmental issues,” 1env Solutions said.

    The two-day Practical Urban Bird Control Course gives pest controllers an in-depth understanding of the theory, legislation and safe application of bird control systems.

    “This course provides delegates with hands on experience with all bird control practices on the market,” 1env Solutions said.

    This course is ideal for surveyors, as a refresher or anyone starting out in bird control. The course covers:

    • Legislation, rules and regulations;
    • Pest bird identification;
    • Health & safety, and risk assessments;
    • Installation of proofing methods;
    • Use of access equipment; and
    • How to price jobs effectively.
