Hosted by the China Pest Control Association, the FAOPMA-Pest Summit was held in Shenzhen, China. Pest was lucky to benefit from reports from two delegates – here we show some more of their photos which capture the spirit of the meeting.
In Pest 59: October & November we published a written report from the Federation of Asian and Oceania Pest Managers’ Association (FAOPMA) Pest Summit held between 26-29 September. The theme of the meeting was Pests and Health.

Stephen Doggett from the Department of Medical Entomology at Westmead Hospital, NSW, Australia was one of the speakers, whereas Gerwyn Jones, the Asia Pacific manager for PelGar International was an exhibitor, responsible for his company’s exhibition stand. Space prevented us from including all their photos, so a further selection is included below.

With nearly 200 stands, the exhibition was a lively affair. As to be expected the majority of stand holders came from China. However, there was a smatering of European exhibitors – PelGar International and PestWest being two – along with the multinationals.

Hosted by the China Pest Control Association, the FAOPMA-Pest Summit was held in Shenzhen, a city of 13 million inhabitants, lying in Guangdong Province in southern China – as these photos taken by day and by night show.
