    Flood victims now being warned of rat invasion

    Following the high winds and floods over 5 and 6 December, thousands of people who were evacuated from the East coat have been warned to avoid direct contact with floodwater and to beware of rats moving into their homes.

    The tidal surge that hit the East coast was the most serious for 60 years.

    According to the Environment Agency 1,400 homes were flooded.
