1env has announced a number of expansion at its national distribution centre in Leigh-on-Sea.

The company’s office support team has now moved into its new, first floor, 2,000sq foot office space, complete with a high-tech meeting and training room, as well as the ‘Ro-Café’, which is open all day.

Richard Lunn, 1env’s managing director, said that by moving the offices to the first floor, the company was able to expand its warehouse facilities by an additional 5,000sq ft and added a new mezzanine floor.

Mr Lunn said: “I am delighted with this latest expansion at 1env, firmly cementing our long-term investment in the industry. As probably, the UK’s largest manufacturer and distributor to the pest control sector, it is important we grow to meet the demands that confront us.

“Our offices are a place where the team can work in a modern, bright and exciting environment and our continuing warehouse growth enables us to hold the stock levels to support our growing customer base both here in the UK and across the world.”

Mr Lunn said that, as part of 1env’s “unrivalled environmental conscience”, the company sources and manufactures most of its products here in the UK, as well as supply the old traditional products too.

The additional warehouse space allows 1env to hold more essential items in stock, ensuring a consistent supply chain, he added.

For local customers, 1env has introduced a ‘click & collect’ trade counter area, while the additional space has allowed the 1env distribution and logistics team to space out and have more room to pick orders quicker and more efficiently.
