The Health & Safety Executive and Ladder Association have joined forces to release two new ladder safety guidance documents.

In a one-off webinar – taking place on Thursday, July 15, at 10:30am – they will introduce the guidance and walk through the key steps to preventing ladder accidents in the workplace, including how to select (and maintain) safe equipment and ensure all workers are competent.

After the presentation, speakers from both organisations will answer questions live.

Anyone responsible for the safety of ladder users will find this free, 90-minute session invaluable, including safety professionals, site managers, company directors and users themselves.

Attendees will get an exclusive first look at the HSE’s new ladder safety webpages and be asked to contribute their feedback before they go live to the public. They’ll also receive an electronic copy of the Ladder Association’s updated Code of Practice.
The webinar will be hosted by Gail Hounslea, chair of the Ladder Association. She’ll introduce Paul Cook from the HSE, who will speak about the importance of industry guidance.

Ms Hounslea will then be joined by fellow ladder safety experts, Don Aers, Francis Camilleri, Steve Booker and Dennis Seaton, who will make sure the session is packed full of actionable advice.

Peter Bennett OBE, executive director of the Ladder Association will also share his thoughts on preventing falls from height on a wider scale – and how each of us can play our part.

Attendees will receive a CPD certificate.
