    BPCA announces the return of Night School pest management courses

    BPCA has announced the return of its Night School training, back by popular demand, with a host of new topics.

    Led by pest expert Alex Wade, BPCA said Night School courses always receive fantastic feedback and sell out quick!

    BPCA described the training as bite-sized pest management courses for even the busiest pest control professionals. The association has a selection of short courses delivered over Zoom in an evening.

    BPCA Registered CPD Points are awarded a 1.5 points for each course. Prices for the training, BPCA said, are varied, with discounts for multiple-bookings.

    The courses available are:

    Rodents: sensing a problem
    Thursday, September 7: 7.30pm – 8.30 pm
    Understanding what it is that allows rodents to perceive their environment can help you build better control strategies built around how rodents behave.

    Surveys and Environmental Risk Assessments (ERAs)
    Thursday, September 14: 7.30pm – 8.30 pm
    A crash course in building your surveys and environmental risk using a virtual simulation of a real-life site.

    Basic principles of pest ID
    Thursday, September 21: 7.30pm – 8.30 pm
    Want to know your funny bugs and your fuzzy beasts at a glance? Principles of Pest ID will give you all the tools to start you on your journey to becoming a pro at identification.

    Root cause analysis for pest professionals
    Thursday, September 28: 7.30pm – 8.30 pm
    Giving you the tools to determine the ‘why’ of an infestation, as well as the ability to clearly and effectively communicate it to your clients.

    Control of crawling and biting insects
    Thursday, October 5: 7.30pm – 8.30 pm
    Want to know the difference between your pyrethrums and pyrethroids? When should you use an EC rather than an EW? Learn all this and more, in this course.

    Control of flying insects
    Thursday, October 12: 7.30pm – 8.30 pm
    Thinking in 3D, the challenges of controlling flying insects and some control strategies to help you effectively control them.
