BPCA urges members to help it change licences for gull control

After a challenging year for gull control in England, the British Pest Control Association is asking the pest management community to help it make the process for getting a licence better.

BPCA said this is an opportunity to positively influence Natural England regarding what happens with gull licensing in 2021.

To do this, the BPCA is asking its members to download and fill in its scenarios for gull control survey spreadsheet.

The spreadsheet asks you to list all scenarios where you might need to lethally control gulls or interfere with their eggs for the sake of human health and safety.

The BPCA is encouraging all members that conduct gull work to fill in the spreadsheet to the best of their ability.

Once completed, email the spreadsheet to [email protected]. The deadline for completed spreadsheet is Saturday, September 26.

The BPCA pointed out that responses will be shared anonymously with Natural England and potentially other wildlife agencies to help support change in licences for bird control.

To download spreadsheet, visit the BPCA website.
