Exosect announced today (2 September 2013) that Pest Trader has acquired full exclusive global manufacturing, intellectual property and commercialisation rights for the Exoroach cockroach trap. In addition, Pest Trader will take over distribution rights for Exosex SPTab and CLTab in Europe.

Pest Trader, the international web-based product distribution business owned by West Sussex-based Xenex Associates, is already familiar with the Exoroach cockroach trap having already signed a distribution agreement in February 2011. This covered distribution in North America and South East Asia.

This new acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, will allow Pest Trader a free-rein on all commercial activities surrounding Exoroach.

Pest Trader is also to take on expanded distribution of the Exosect public health products for professional use. The distribution agreement is for Europe and is effective of 1 October 2013 and covers Exosex SPTab (for the control of stored product moths in food production) and CLTab (for clothes moth). All other current distribution agreements remain unaffected.

Martin Brown, CEO of Exosect, commented: “This appointment, together with the divestment of Exoroach, allows Exosect to focus its resources on the strategic development and licensing of its patented delivery platform, Entostat. Pest Trader will be able to provide a high level of support to customers and increase market penetration of our products in Europe.”

“These new arrangements,” said Rob Fryatt, director of Xenex Associates, “are an excellent fit with the further development of our Pest Trader business which markets a range of unique and niche prevention monitoring and placement products from all corners of the globe.” He further commented: “We know the products well from our previous consultancy work with Exosect and have the team in place – marketing, technical and customer management – to increase the support of the products.”
