    Are you ready to tackle rodent infestations with new insights and practical expertise? The NPTA’s rodent problem-solving course, which will be held on February 20 in Walsall, is designed to revolutionise the way pest controllers think about and handle rodent issues.

    With only eight spots remaining, this is your chance to enhance your skills and gain valuable knowledge from industry experts.

    What you’ll learn
    This intensive, highly visual course challenges conventional thinking and pushes you to reassess your approach to rodent control. Through a blend of theory, practical exercises, and real-world case studies, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of rodent behaviour and control strategies.

    Topics covered will include:
    Surveying: Learn how to identify rodent species, harbourage areas, travel routes, entry points, and more;

    Prevention: Discover effective methods to prevent infestations through housekeeping and proofing techniques; and

    Control: Gain advanced insights into rodent behaviour, food preferences, control placement, and resistance management. You’ll also explore rodenticide formulations and active ingredients to optimise your pest control strategies.

    Visual learners will benefit from hundreds of photos, videos, and diagrams, providing a comprehensive and engaging learning experience.

    The course runs from 9am-4pm, with registration from 8.30am.

    Grahame Turner, NPTA’s technical manager, said: “This course blends theory and hands-on exercises, ensuring you leave with practical tools you can immediately apply in the field.

    “Whether you’re a seasoned professional or looking to build on your existing skills, this course will enhance your expertise, making you more effective and adaptable when solving rodent problems. You’ll also have the opportunity to connect with other professionals in the field, expanding your network and sharing best practices.”

    Mr Turner added: “With limited spaces available, secure your spot now by visiting the NPTA website or contacting our office for more information.

    “Take the next step in your professional development – join us in Walsall on February 20,  and become a true expert in rodent problem-solving!”
