Kevin Lawrenson, chief executive of the National Pest Technicians Association, and Richard Moseley, key account and business development manager at Syngenta, have announced the successful candidates for the latest round of the 5<25 programme, a joint initiative between NPTA and Syngenta aimed at supporting fresh talent into the pest control industry.

Over the coming weeks, NPTA and Syngenta will introduce each of them through, using the hastag #NPTA, and will share their stories as they take their next steps on their journey in professional pest management.

Mr Lawrenson said that he is already looking at dates for their RSPH Level 2 training via Dr Matthew Davies atKillgerm Chemicals, and identifying what support they need ahead of time.

“This initiative is already making waves internationally with a feature lined up in PCN Benelux magazine and interest growing overseas, where hashtag#Syngenta is sharing the programme with other national trade association as a model to follow,” Mr Lawrenson said.

“And the good news doesn’t stop there – a new wave of 5<25 will be launching in just a few months, so watch this space for details on how to apply.

“Together, we’re are starting something that will snowball and has the potential to become the foundation of attracting the next generation of pest controllers and both Richard and I are so proud of what we have set in motion.”
