    NPTA has training course availability next week

    The National Pest Technicians Association (NPTA) has announced that it has availability for two training courses taking place next week.

    Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments and Safe Systems of Work
    On Tuesday, November 26, NPTA is running its Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments and Safe Systems of Work course in Exeter.

    Grahame Turner, NPTA’s technical manager, said the course contents will include legislation, incidents & fines, responsibilities, hazards and harm, controlling the risks, documentation, case studies, practical exercises and an assignment.

    Delegates can arrive from 8.30am, and the course will run from 9am-3.30pm.

    The course price is £80 (+VAT) for NPTA members and £120 (+VAT) for non-members.

    Rodent Problem-Solving
    Mr Turner said the Rodent Problem-Solving course will take place in Caldicot on Wednesday, November 27, and in Waltham Abbey on Tuesday, December 3.

    The course contents will include surveying (species, harbourage, travel routes, rodent abilities, entry points); prevention (housekeeping, proofing); control (physical control, food preferences, rodenticide formulations, behavioural resistance, control placement, active ingredients, physiological resistance) and case studies.

    Mr Turner said that this is a highly visual course, illustrated with around 750 photos, videos and diagrams.

    Delegates can arrive from 8.30am, and the course will run from 9am-4pm.

    The course price is £80 (+VAT) for NPTA members and £120 (+VAT) for non-members.
