    NPTA to recruit a technical trainer

    Are you passionate about the pest control industry and ready to help others develop their skills and knowledge? The National Pest Technicians Association (NPTA) is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic technical trainer to join its team.

    What NPTA is offering:

    • Salary: £35,000–£40,000 per year, plus car allowance;
    • Annual Leave: 28 days, plus bank holidays, plus additional closure between Christmas and New Year;
    • Other Benefits – The NPTA are working on creating an employee assistance programme and medical cash plans which will be available to the successful candidate;
    • Work Arrangement: Remote role with travel to training courses and occasional visits to the office in Nottingham; and
    • Professional growth: The NPTA encourages personal development and will support training courses/qualifications where appropriate.

    What you’ll do

    • Deliver engaging training sessions to NPTA members across the UK, ensuring content is clear, practical, and aligned with industry standards;
    • Assist in updating and developing training materials, contributing to a high-quality learning experience;
    • Support members in applying training concepts to their daily work;
    • Collaborate closely with the technical manager and the wider team to enhance our training offerings;
    • Auditing members to ensure they meet the required standards of NPTA membership; and
    • Supporting members with technical queries

    What NPTA is looking for:
    Essential:

    • Strong knowledge of the pest control industry, including current practices and regulations;
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with an aptitude for training;
    • A collaborative and proactive approach to work;
    • Willingness to travel across the UK for training delivery; and
    • Experience in public health pest control.

    Desirable:

    • Previous experience designing and delivering training programmes; and
    • Familiarity with accredited training schemes or CPD systems.

    Location:

    • We are particularly seeking candidates based in the North of the UK to enhance our regional presence.
