Dublin-based PestPulse, a subsidiary of Terminix, has expanded its footprint with the acquisition of Prevent a Pest, which is headquarted in Cork.
Prevent a Pest is a commercial-only pest control service, which specialises in the safety of pharmaceutical, healthcare, food production, retail, hospitality, transport and warehousing areas for 10 counties in Ireland.
John Phelan founded Prevent a Pest in 1994 and has since been acting managing director. The company provided general pest and cockroach control, bedbug treatments, bird and rodent control for its 1,000-plus commercial customers.
Mr Phelan said: “To have the opportunity to continue to grow with a company that appreciates our pest control expertise and cares about our culture, customers and staff as much as we do was important to us.
“Pest Pulse’s technology and national coverage will only enhance the high-quality services we provide to our customers every day.”
