It was announced today (21 September) that after 17 years of service to the US professional pest management industry, National Pest Management Association (NPMA) Executive Vice President Rob Lederer is stepping down from his leadership position. He has agreed to serve as a consultant to the organisation for the next six months.

Although Rob Lederer was executive vice president of the American trade association (NPMA) he had also become well-known as a much respected industry leader throughout the world.

Over the years Rob must have attended, or spoken at, virtually every international event the world over – not to mention the numerous international meetings along the way.

In the press release issued by NPMA, Rob stated: “I treasure my NPMA experiences, particularly the many people I”ve had the opportunity to meet and what I”ve learned over the years. But, many of us who travel intense career paths reach a point where it is time to pursue new challenges, and, now, that time has come.

“I’ve been with this organisation through numerous challenges and thankfully, many more successes. In partnership with excellent leaders throughout the years, we have built NPMA into a first-class organisation respected throughout the world.

“Our members respect us for the unparalleled support we offer their businesses; regulators and legislators respect the effective work we do to ensure our industry is well represented; and the public has grown to respect our industry as true professionals committed to the protection of public health and property.”
